The Other Boleyn Girl is the British drama film directed by Justin Chadwick. The screenplay was adapted from the 2001 novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory. It is a romanticized account of the lives of 16th century aristocrats Mary Boleyn, one-time mistress of King Henry VIII and her sister Anne, who became the king's ill-fated second wife.
The costumes of The Other Boleyn Girl were designed by a British costume designer Sandy Powell, who has been nominated for several Academy Awards and received two from costume design in Shakespeare in Love and The Aviator. Besides those two,
she has designed costumes for such well-known films as Gangs of New York, Interview with the Vampire and The Crying Game and many more.
